Celebrities can be obnoxious. I KNOW! I get it. They tend to lean very far left and try to act like they are the smartest and the brightest, and they are often VERY ignorant. The Alyssa Milanos and Rob Reiners of the world make it hard NOT to wish any and all forms of criticism we can find upon them BUT they are still just people.
There are some really great celebrities like Bruce Willis who deserve some dignity as they age and deal with regular life problems. Some celebrities are annoying in real life but great on screen. Some really should shut up and just make good entertainment, BUT they are all still human.
I saw Gene Hackman trending on X and found out the New York Post wrote a whole article about the man for wearing the same outfit a few weeks apart. THE MAN IS 94! He was going to the gas station. It made me think about how obsessed our culture is with being 'famous' and how they put these normal people up on a pedestal and then tear them down.

Ok yes, the man was in a lot of movies BUT even if he were not retired and was making insane amounts of money, IT IS NORMAL to wear the same outfit each week and with the context that only the vest and hat are 'identical' makes it even worse. Normalize being normal. it is ok for people to wear the same thing more than once a month or even once a year.
Our culture seems obsessed with becoming famous or obsessing over those who are famous. We should be obsessed with being decent human beings and the state of our country not the state of our follower count on social media. Obviously not you guys, you are Twitchy VIP members which means you are celebrities in your own right and I am positive you look absolutely fabulous as you read this article and think to yourself, why did she write this? LOL
I wrote it because it annoyed me. It is really that simple. Celebrities can be obnoxious and I totally support dragging them, BUT not when they are just doing normal stuff like wearing the same hat and vest two times in the same month.
Surprisingly many people on X agreed with me and you can read a ton more of these comments and a full write-up about the story and its crappy headline here. Our fabulous Fuzzy Chimp wrote that up at 2 am like a NOT normal person, but he is a chimp so we try to ignore those less-than-normal behaviors.

Maybe the New York Post should lay off Gene Hackman. IDK about you but if he decides to pull out his Lex Luthor persona, I would not want to be in that line of fire.
No matter who the celebrity is, even if we want them to shut up and stop posting about their crocheted COVID masks ( looking at you Alyssa Milano), let's normalize being normal. If she wears the same outfit 2 times we can agree not to go nuts on that. However, when she spouts her lefty nonsense about believing all women and then does NOT believe some women because of political affiliation, I encourage you to drag her. :)
That is just my totally normal human being who often wears the same Harry Potter hoodie 2 times in the same week's opinion.
