While some celebrities took Independence Day as an opportunity to bash the United States, another well-known American spent a low-profile holiday in Africa.

As part of a week-long tour, former President George W. Bush and his wife Laura visited Ngungu Health Centre and Kasisi Children’s Home in Lusaka, Zambia.
