Hillary Clinton cites 'personal communications' from her husband … but Bill doesn't use email?

It seems simple enough. Of course Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would set up her own private email server rather than opt for an official government address; after all, some of those emails she receives are pretty personal.

At her press conference today, she admitted she, ahem, “chose not to keep” private, personal emails such as those about “planning Chelsea’s wedding or my mother’s funeral arrangements, condolence notes to friends as well as yoga routines, family vacations, the other things you typically find in inboxes.”

Also on the server: “personal communications from my husband and me.” In fact, she went on to say, “the system we used was set up for President Clinton’s office.” That’s odd, because according to the Wall Street Journal and other sources, Bill Clinton has only ever sent two emails.

“If Hillary Clinton’s emails are eventually cracked open,” begins an article published earlier Tuesday, just before the press conference, “don’t expect to see any juicy correspondence with her husband — or any correspondence at all. Bill Clinton doesn’t use email.” Clinton’s spokesman revealed that the former president has sent only two emails: one to astronaut John Glenn in 1998, and one to U.S. troops serving in the Adriatic.

We’re certain someone’s working furiously on a plausible answer to that one right now.
