Bree Newsome, who became a media darling after she scaled the flag pole in front of the South Carolina State House to tear down the Confederate flag (which was coming down anyway), is considered a fresh face in the #BlackLivesMatter movement. As activists joined hands to block I-70 in Ferguson as part of their day of civil disobedience, Newsome was on Twitter to serve up the same tired cliché about the protest.
