Rep. Jackie Speier calls on Paul Ryan to disband the 'Committee to Attack Women's Health'

Rep. Jackie Speier of California and five other members of Congress signed a letter to House Speaker Paul Ryan calling for the disbanding of the Select Investigative Panel of the Committee on Energy and Commerce, or, as she puts it in her tweet, the ‘Committee to Attack Women’s Health.’

The full letter not only calls for Speaker Ryan to disband the committee but calls on him to disavow the 11 undercover videos released by the Center for Medical Progress, which Speier calls “manufactured,” “inflammatory” and “highly edited.” She also claimed that there were “serious questions about the accuracy and legality of the videos,” although Planned Parenthood has yet to act on its many threats to sue to the Center for Medical Progress.
