Scandal alert: Jeb! Bush flubs name of president's daughter

At last, the media is paying attention to presidential candidate Jeb Bush. We thought the discovery of intelligence from “special access programs” on Hillary Clinton’s unsecured home-brew server was big news, but that was before we read Politico’s article on Jeb Bush’s flubbing of Malia Obama’s name.

Reportedly, Bush was telling potential voters an anecdote about Michelle Obama insulting the Chinese by missing a summit with President Xi Jinping and his wife. “And every meeting I had in Beijing started out for the first 10 minutes started out lambasting me about why it was, as an American, why it was that we insulted China. And I’m thinking, you know what, it could be that Mrs. Obama was worried about the science project of Malala.”

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow thought it was important to point out that “Malala” technically was not a mispronunciation of Malia.

Viewers were split: is Jeb Bush just stupid, or was it an intentional slight against the president and his family?

Bush already looks like a long shot going by the polls, but has he sealed his fate with this scandal?
