Spoilers of war: President Obama entrusted with highly classified 'Game of Thrones' episodes

The president has had a busy day blowing bubbles at the White House science fair and visiting CIA headquarters for an update on America’s progress in the fight against ISIS, which reportedly is going very well. If he finds some free time tonight, though, President Obama has a season’s worth of advanced episodes of “Game of Thrones” to look forward to.

Dan Pfeiffer, former senior advisor to Barack Obama, notes that being president has its advantages beyond taxpayer-funded vacations and on-demand flights to the country’s finest golf courses.

As the president said himself, “there’s classified, and then there’s classified” — and then there’s the “ultra-secret” preview of upcoming “Game of Thrones” episodes. Entertainment Weekly reports that not only is the president the only person outside of HBO to receive advanced copies, but that he requested them. “Finding out the president wanted advanced copies of the episodes was … a very strange moment,” showrunner Dan Weiss told EW.

Now that the United States has the momentum in the fight against ISIS, what’s to keep the president from kicking back for a bit and escaping into fantasy?
