PETA wants village of Wool to change its name, which 'promotes cruelty to sheep'

PETA’s idiocy extends far beyond U.S. borders, and now the animal rights extremists are lobbying the village of Wool in England to change its name to Vegan Wool to promote veganism and kindness to sheep.

As the Daily Mail reports, the name of the village, which dates back to the 11th Century, doesn’t even refer to wool, but is rather an update of the Anglo-Saxon word “welle,” or a water spring.

Still, surely the village would want to change its name to Vegan Wool to “inspire local people to seek out cruelty-free clothing.”
