Erick Erickson goes to bat for Mitt Romney 'for saying publicly what so many … say privately'

A lot of people have been weighing in on Mitt Romney’s op-ed in the Washington Post criticizing President Trump’s character (which of course the retiring Jeff Flake loved), and The Resurgent’s Erick Erickson stepped up to bat for Romney in replying to radio host Kevin McCullough:

Yeah, he seemed perfectly fine with Trump when he was running for Senator.

And don’t discount the woke “conservatives” like Max Boot who literally told people to vote against Romney and vote a straight Democrat ticket in the midterms to “save” the GOP.

Well, and the timing of his words, let’s face it:

And, frankly, it’s not like the Washington Post doesn’t already have two “conservative” columnists on staff who do nothing but criticize the president.

Maybe Romney should have turned down Trump’s assistance during his campaign, seeing as he didn’t need it.
