Rashida Tlaib might have written for Farrakhan's newsletter, but she doesn't endorse his beliefs

And anti-Semitism Monday just keeps rolling along for the Democrats, primarily the much-lauded and overly covered freshman class comprising Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib.

A spokesman for Rep. Tlaib told Business Insider’s Joe Petricone that yes, she wrote for Louis Farrakhan’s blog, but she never ran into him in person and of course rejects his anti-Semitic and anti-LGBT views.

She condemns his views but still wrote for his newsletter? What was she blogging about, termite control?

Business Insider reports:

Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan published a column in 2006 on The Final Call, an online publication founded and maintained by Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan.

First unearthed by conservative blogger Jeryl Bier, Tlaib penned a column titled “Bills must stop deportations for minor offenses,” which takes issue with deportations for minor offenses.

A spokesperson for Tlaib did not respond to multiple requests for comment from INSIDER.

Tlaib’s association with Farrakhan comes on the heels of heavy criticism of her and other freshmen Democrats who have been accused of anti-Semitism.

Tlaib was also revealed to have a prominent fundraiser who has trafficked in anti-Semitic conspiracy theories.

A prominent fundraiser who trafficks in anti-Semitic conspiracy theories? You must mean the guy she invited to a private dinner celebrating her swearing-in who compared Israel to ISIS and praises Hezbollah in his tweets. This dude …

… is the same guy as this dude:

Even if it was 2006, it was blatantly obvious that Farrakhan was an anti-Semite … why write for his newsletter?

Yeah, there are plenty of photos of Tlaib and Sarsour hugging it out.
