In case you hadn’t heard, a 6-year-old child shot a teacher in Newport News the other day. The child was arrested and the teacher is expected to live. It happened inside the classroom and police say it was planned.
For some reason, this is supposed to remind us that Winsome Sears is the state’s lieutenant governor.

Sears is a badass who served in the Marines and supports Second Amendment rights. That’s why she’s posing with the rifle. It’s not a candid action shot from the battlefield. But Oates is (playing?) dumb by thinking Sears is preparing to shoot something.
