How Will the Media Critique Melania Trump's White House Christmas Decor This Year?

Twitchy/Meme

Back around this time of year in 2018, I noticed what I counted what I believed was the Washington Post’s fourth piece on Melania Trump’s Christmas decorations. Actually, it wasn’t all the decorations — everyone zeroed in on one hallway that had red trees. The Post wrote that the “spooky” trees induced “flashbacks to phantasmal nightmares from our shared cultural memory.” The Post also described it as “Melania Trump’s nightmare forest.”

They’d also done a piece on how outside the U.S., the color red has been associated with sick Christmas trees.

WaPo wasn't alone, though. Slate asked what message the first lady was sending with her “red Christmas trees of death.” Journo Emily Singer said the decorations looked like they were “straight out of ‘The Shining.'”

We didn't hear any complaints from the press about First Lady Jill Biden's Christmas decor … not even that she neglected to put up a stocking on the mantle for her newest granddaughter. Here was Biden's offering:

Now that Trump is once again our first lady, her office has put out of video of the White House decked out for Christmas 2025, and it looks spectacular.

What will the haters complain about? The nativity scene?

They'll find something to critique, it just might take them a little time.

Watch … some historian or hate-watch group will dig up the nugget that blue butterflies are actually a Nazi symbol representing white supremacy.

These weird dancers?

I don't know about you, but I think it's criminal how Melania Trump is underappreciated. This video is the first thing to really get me in the Christmas spirit.
