'DUDE'! Dan Rather's Bush-inspired message about those who 'refuse introspection' sends heads CRASHING to desks

Former CBS Evening News anchor Dan Rather watched yesterday’s funeral service for George H.W. Bush and had some thoughts:

Watching today's eulogies I thought about our national reckoning. We can't rely on the consciences of those who have shown none or humility from those who refuse introspection. Forces of change must swell in the population at large to shake our republic into a more just future.

Um, speaking of introspection, many spotted an ironic lack of it just in that tweet, and for multiple reasons:

"We can't rely on the consciences of those who have shown none or humility from those who refuse introspection." In other words, you're admitting that you're unreliable. This is probably a good time for you to stay quiet.
