WHAT bias? In WaPo's approach to race & family stories about senators, party seems to make a BIG difference

As we told you earlier, the Washington Post reported that the focus on Democrat Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse’s club membership is taking place “amid questions about whether it is all-white.”

We’re now just one step away from “Republicans pounce” stories from the MSM.

Drew Holden and others can’t help but notice what different treatment race and family stories get depending on the letter after the name of the senator in question:

@washingtonpost invested more time in getting to the bottom of whether Sen Scott’s family was sufficiently poor as newly-freed slaves than they did figuring out why Sen Whitehouse just can’t quit his all-white beach club and whether that could be an issue.

You would think if it wasn’t true that Sen. Whitehouse would have pointed it out to the person who asked the question on video instead of just saying “they’re working on that.”
