I don't follow professional basketball that closely (I prefer men's sports, thanks), so until last night, I did not know much about who Jaden Ivey is, or even that he plays for the Chicago Bulls.
Rather, I should say that he did play for the Chicago Bulls.
Ivey is no longer a member of that team. They waived him yesterday. Why? Could he not rebound or hit a three-point shot? Did he travel all the time? Of course not. Every player in the NBA is guilty of those crimes.
No, Ivey's transgression was calling out sin in the NBA. Sin that the league not only promotes, but forces on its teams and players. That sin, of course, is 'pride.'

He said that forced pride displays were unrighteousness, and they released him?
Out of curiosity, I looked up Ivey's stats to see if the Bulls had another excuse they could pretend was the real reason they waived the fourth-year guard from Purdue. He has averaged almost 15 points per game in his professional career with a shooting percentage of 43 percent. Ivey was traded from the Detroit Pistons to the Bulls this season and had only played four games with his new team before they gave him the boot.
That doesn't seem like the resume of someone who would be summarily released. Bulls head coach Billy Donovan confirmed that Ivey was dismissed for blasphemy when he announced in a post-game press conference that Ivey's conduct was 'detrimental to the team.'

He didn't even do that. He simply said that mandatory LGBTQ+ demonstrations were unrighteous.
But in a pure Soviet-style propaganda tactic, many media outlets are trying to accuse Ivey of having 'psychological problems,' saying that his comments were 'homophobic' and 'transphobic,' and that he has gone on numerous 'religious rants.'
What were those 'rants'?

Apparently, it's not beautiful to the NBA to see.
Ivey also has reportedly said that Catholicism is a 'false religion.' I don't happen to agree with that assessment, but Ivey certainly has a right to say it if that's what he believes.
According to Fox News, the left is trying to use even that comment to threaten his mother's job:

Of course, none of this has anything to do with what Ivey said about Catholics. Nobody in the NBA or on the Bulls cares an iota if Ivey is critical of the Catholic church.
They waived him because he committed the ultimate heresy. He dared to defy the cult of the alphabet mob.
The conduct they are claiming is detrimental is Christianity. They fired Jaden Ivey for being Christian.

Oh, there are plenty of other examples of the NBA's hypocrisy when it comes to 'detrimental conduct.'

But proclaim your faith in Christianity? You must be excommunicated.

Personally, I find Kerr's comments to be repugnant. But he has a right to say that, along with all of the other anti-conservative, anti-American claptrap he spews after nearly every game.
But if the NBA isn't going to punish his right to free speech, then the league and the Bulls cannot blackball Ivey for his.
Except that they can. And that is a HUGE problem.
For his part, Ivey isn't taking his dismissal silently. He spoke out about it on his personal Instagram account.

It's a very simple -- and very good -- question for the NBA and the Chicago Bulls: How?
They can't answer that question, of course, and they won't.
And here is the other secret that the NBA will never admit. Most of Ivey's teammates (not to mention NBA fans) agree with him. Maybe not his exact words, but they do not want to be forced to celebrate something they do not believe in. They just might not be as outspoken about it.
And THAT is the objective of the Bulls waiving Ivey, to keep other players from speaking out about their beliefs.

It's time for some backlash against the NBA. Otherwise, not only is Ivey's professional basketball career over (at least in the United States), but the league will continue to persecute free speech that it doesn't like.
It's worth noting that other professional sports leagues are just as bad as the NBA -- at least in the front offices. The NFL puts woke messaging in the end zone of every game (and we all remember that anti-American, lascivious display of a Super Bowl halftime show). The LA Dodgers and MLB welcomed the 'Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence,' the queer drag queens who insult Christianity and Christians with every appearance they make. The NHL is still trying to make 'Pride Night' a thing. At least the Nashville Predators are, embarrassingly.
But none of the players agree with this. In the NHL, Ivan Provorov famously stood up against being forced to 'wear the ribbon.' Other players soon joined him. The leftist media tried to cancel Provorov, but it didn't work. Before long, the NHL had backed down, announcing that teams could still hold 'pride nights' if they wanted to, but it was no longer mandatory for teams or players to participate.
Players in every league have this power, though many might not know it. Even in the uber-woke NBA. If they stand up and stand with Ivey, the league will back down. Guaranteed.
But if they allow themselves to be silenced, if they allow Jaden Ivey to be cancelled for being a vocal Christian, the cult wins.
And that will be -- or at least should be -- the end of the NBA in America.
