There was another police related shooting in New York City earlier this morning, this time in the basement of a synagogue in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn and the whole incident was caught on tape (Warning: the video is of a graphic nature):

In the video, you see a chaotic scene where the alleged attacker first drops the knife when confronted by NYPD officers but then, inexplicably, grabs the knife a second time before he can be cuffed. He is then seen approaching the officers before he is shot and killed.
The stabbing victim has been identified as 22-year-old Israeli Levi Rosenblatt and he is reportedly being treated at Kings County hospital where he listed in critical condition:

There is no widespread outrage at the NYPD over the shooting (yet), but there are isolated Tweeters questioning why the NYPD had to shoot the man who had just stabbed somebody:
