Caitlyn Jenner, who killed a woman in a car crash, talks fashion at the ESPY awards

Former Olympian (and former Bruce) Caitlyn Jenner won the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at last night’s ESPN “ESPY” awards show in Los Angeles, Calif., talking about the need to “respect” the trans community:

And while receiving the award for “courage,” Jenner also talked fashion, hoping the E! channel show that comments on how celebrities dress, “Fashion Police,” would be kind:

Because nothing defines a woman like a designer dress?

Apparently not. Jenner won praise for wearing a Versace gown:

Let’s also keep in mind that this is the same Caitlyn Jenner who was involved in a fatal car accident in February. Kim Howe, 69, was killed after Jenner rear-ended her car, sending it into oncoming traffic where it was hit head-on by a Hummer SUV. Jenner is still under investigation for the crash:

This pesky detail was left out of last night’s ESPY awards show, with some wondering if Jenner should have been honored at all:

And here’s a good question:

No chance. Another good one:

We don’t know the Howe family’s reaction, but there was another driver involved in the Jenner crash and she’s not happy with Jenner’s award:

Talking to Entertainment Tonight, Steindorff said:

“I find it difficult to understand how the culture we live in can honor a person who is responsible for taking a life and injuring several others with both an award and a reality show.”

Well said.

Video of Jenner’s entire speech here:

Oh, we found a few exceptions but nobody will talk about them.
