'Pattern of deceit': Hugh Hewitt rips John Podesta for 'doubling down' on Clinton's debate 'lie'

In last night’s Democratic debate in New Hampshire, Hillary Clinton attacked GOP front-runner Donald J. Trump by saying ISIS is using  “videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists.

A claim that numerous fact-checkers report just isn’t true:

Over on ABC’s “This Week,”, Clinton communications director Jennifer Palmieri actually defended Clinton’s statement, although she did admit there’s no video:

Clinton adviser John Podesta said roughly the same thing on “Meet the Press,” calling her statement at the debate “very fair” and saying Clinton stands by the comment:

Well, maybe “astonished” is not quite the correct word here. “Expected” seems more like it.
