Tsunami watch issued for Hawaii as 7.7 magnitude earthquake strikes near the Solomon Islands

Breaking news to report out of the South Pacific where we’re seeing reports of a massive 7.7 earthquake striking near the Solomon Islands (earlier reports listed the earthquake as magnitude 8.0):
