As we told you earlier, the New England Patriots will be visiting the White House today to celebrate their Super Bowl win, but it will be without star quarterback Tom Brady. He announced this morning that “personal family matters” will prevent him from attending the event:

Brady didn’t get into specifics, but his mother has been battling cancer:

Brady announced his mom’s diagnosis at a press conference before the Super Bowl. According to a recent interview, her prognosis is good:
