Does anyone really know what percentage of teachers are vaccinated?

AFT union President Randi Weingarten keeps saying over and over again that 90% of teachers in her union are vaccinated. But is this true?

We ask because NYC DOE Chancellor Meisha Porter just said this morning that only 60% of city teachers are vaccinated:

Most teachers in NYC are representing by the UFT union, and its president, Michael Mulgrew said the numbers “is actually closer to 70 or even 80 percent since city figures don’t account for teachers who got their shots outside of NYC”:

You know, maybe it would be helpful if Weingarten and Mulgrew got together and told us THE ACTUAL NUMBER instead of plotting ways to keep schools closed:

Because, as things are going, it appears that these two union heads aren’t real keen on keeping schools open in the fall for in-person education:
