Former Obama advisor and current CNN commentator David Axelrod doesn’t think it is such a smart play for Hillary Clinton to participate in the third presidential debate in Las Vegas.
Drug testing?!? You have to wonder if @HillaryClinton will/should reconsider next debate, given the depths to which this has sunk.

He is trying to indicate that it is a reaction to Donald Trump suggesting that there should be drug tests before the debate. More likely, he feels as if she would have more to lose than Trump. Her backing out could also have an unintended backfire effect on her campaign.

It most likely is a trial balloon. One would think an announcement about Clinton dropping out of the debate would have to appear fairly soon as the debate is scheduled for Wednesday night.
