Jimmy Carter: Media 'harder' on Trump than 'any other president I've known about'

Former President Jimmy Carter has his own take about how the national media have covered President Donald Trump and his administration. Carter feels they have been extraordinarily tough on the president, noting that they freely make the claim that he is “mentally deranged.”

Here is what Carter told the New York Times:

“I think the media have been harder on Trump than any other president certainly that I’ve known about,” Carter replied. “I think they feel free to claim that Trump is mentally deranged and everything else without hesitation.”

Carter also said he would go to North Korea on behalf of the administration if asked.

Raise your hand if you had Jimmy Carter pegged as the former president who would be declaring the unfairness of how the media has covered Trump.
