Democrats' Dumpster Fire: Death Wishes, Commie Confessions, and a Side of Sexism

Photo from Graham Platner for U.S. Senate

Oh, look at the Democrats, folks! In Virginia, we've got Jay Jones, the aspiring state attorney general, who apparently thinks it's a bright idea to text about wishing death upon Republicans and their kids. Classy, right? And then there's Maine, where a Democrat is taking on Susan Collins, and surprise, surprise, this gem admits to being a former Commie and thinks women might just be asking for it when it comes to sexual assaults. What a charmer! What's going on with the Democrats these days? They're not just braindead; they're in a whole new league of brainlessness, and that's really saying something considering their usual track record. It's like they're auditioning for the most out-of-touch party award, and frankly, they're nailing it.

The political director for Graham Platner’s U.S. Senate campaign resigned Friday after Platner’s past online posts featuring numerous controversial remarks resurfaced this week.

Former state Rep. Genevieve McDonald of Stonington was one of the most prominent Maine Democrats who joined Platner’s campaign after a buzzy August launch saw the Sullivan oysterman and military veteran draw national attention in addition to big crowds at his town hall-style rallies. She sent her resignation letter exclusively to the Bangor Daily News.

The past week has dealt Platner, 41, the biggest test yet in his nascent campaign, and it coincided with Gov. Janet Mills joining the Democratic primary Tuesday for the chance to take on U.S. Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, in 2026. McDonald’s exit showed discord among the campaign that includes many progressive strategists from out of state.

CNN first reported Thursday on since-deleted posts Platner made a few years ago on Reddit that included Platner calling rural, white Americans “racist” and “stupid” and describing all police as “bastards.” Other old posts suggested violence is necessary to achieve social change, according to Politico’s reporting.

She also apparently can see the train coming right at them at the end of this tunnel. She is getting out while the getting is good.

Sounds like a smart lady. More than I can say for most Democrats.

Since all of this nonsense dropped, another Democratic candidate has jumped into the fray. Apparently, they are taking advantage of a no-win situation

Janet Mills is 77 years old. Maybe one day, some young people in their 60's will get a chance at public office (snark). So, the Democrats have the choice between her and this goof ball.

Sound a bit like Mamdani, but not Muslim. The Democrats are really batting 1000 lately.

Democrats just doing what they do ... lie, deceive and obfuscate.
