Condoleezza Rice puts the kibosh on VP speculation

Aye, it does.

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has had buzz surrounding her of late: Veepstakes or not to Veepstakes? The buzz got, well, buzzier, last night when she headlined her first Washington, D.C. fundraiser for ShePAC.

Alas, it was fun while it lasted.

Ms. Rice put the kibosh on any vice president rumors.

More from Yahoo! News:

Rice ruled out the possibility in an interview on “CBS This Morning” Tuesday, saying there is “no way” she would be on the ticket this fall.

“There is no way that I will do this, because it’s really not me. I know my strengths, and Gov. Romney needs to find someone who wants to run with him,” Rice said when asked if she would consider becoming Romney’s running mate.

“I didn’t run for student council president,” she said. “I don’t see myself in any way in elective office.”

Some Twitter users understand her decision.

Predictably, some Lefties somehow make it about race. Or something.

Classy. So classy. Sigh.

In the meantime, Ms. Rice is continuing to just tell it like it is.
