Remember what we said yesterday about Trump winning the optics game against Obama (and Hillary)? Well, today, he’s continuing to pull ahead, with a little help from former Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu. A Democrat.

Now, some people are pointing out that Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards requested that Obama wait an additional 10 to 14 days before visiting flood-ravaged Baton Rouge:

But come on. Does anyone out there actually believe that Edwards’ line was anything other than a lame excuse for Obama’s warped priorities? The president hasn’t even been able to muster so much as a statement regarding the disaster in Louisiana. And Hillary’s been too busy deflecting and tweeting about the Olympics and lying about Colin Powell to make a move for Louisiana.
