You know the Little Engine That Could? Well, Evan McMullin is like the Little Engine That Couldn’t but Still Thinks He Could. Not content to just fade back into obscurity, he insists on weighing in on all things Trump even though nobody asked him to.
It’s one thing to oppose Trump on principle; it’s another thing altogether to oppose him for purely opposition’s sake. But McMullin is definitely guilty of the latter. This morning, pissed off that Trump insulted him, he tried to fire back like an adult:
