The bill is being denounced by many on the Left as pro-voter-suppression, thanks to things like stricter restrictions on mail-in voting and new voter ID requirements.
One of the bill’s critics is New York State Attorney General Letitia James, who, as New York State Attorney General, is vowing to examine the legal options she has to fight S.B. 202:
Attacks against the right to vote continue to threaten our democracy, and the voting restrictions passed in Georgia are deeply troubling.
My office is examining all legal options to take on these anti-democratic measures.
