As soon as the reports started coming out about the deadly shooting at Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, everyone should have known that it would only be a matter of time until David Hogg weighed in.
I can’t even begin to imagine what Hogg and his fellow students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School went through when a gunman opened fire and killed all those people. I hope I never have to know. I hope my kids never have to know.
But I also can’t just sit here and watch him continue to spew out ignorant BS in order to advance his gun control agenda. Past trauma is not a free pass to deceive the public, but that’s what David Hogg has devoted himself to doing. And he deserves to get called out for it each and every time. And that includes today, over this long, meandering thread ultimately arguing that the Second Amendment doesn’t say what it says and that Americans do not have the right to self-defense.

There’s nothing about the right to kill your unborn kids in the Constitution, David. But the right to self-defense is second only to the right to freedom of speech, religion, assembly, the press, and the right to petition the government without fear of redress. Read it, David! I’m not joking!
