WW II vets cross barricades to visit Vietnam Memorial [photos]

The National Park Service closed the Vietnam Memorial yesterday as a result of the federal government shutdown, but World War II veterans bypassed the barricades this afternoon. Betsy Woodruff of National Review is there and is tweeting photos.

Worth noting: During the last government shutdown, the Vietnam Memorial was open:
