Did White House hush up story about Malia Obama's trip to Mexico?

Earlier the Huffington Post and AFP and Daily Telegraph posted it.

Now they have been removed from the web.

Some speculated that it was done to avoid a threat to them in Mexico. Others wonder if it was due to the cost of the trip.

Politico ran an article on it.

The Blaze has screenshots of the missing articles.

The blog “Death by a Thousand Paper Cuts” reports that Mexican papers ran the story. So the news was already out in Mexico

Why were the news reports yanked?

Who ordered them removed?

Were the reports removed for ‘security’ reasons?

Huffington Post, AFP and The Telegraph removed their reports the day after Mexican internet news sites filed reports with photos of Malia in Mexico. The cat’s out of the bag so why the censorship on this side of the border?

One of our sources: the Mexico news site El Universal who filed a March 18, 2012, report which includes a photo of Malia in Mexico.

This blog and this blog still have the story up.

Blogger Sandra Rose had the Obama Daughter story on her site. Here she recounts that the White House emailed to have her pull it.
